Travel Agent Tribute - Celebrating World Tourism Day
It’s World Tourism Day and Travel Agents around the world are key players in tourism. Although sometimes forgotten, Travel Agents had and still continue having a key role on all travel related activities and are responsible for moving thousands of people around the world.
According to the World Tourism Organization, UNWTO, the United Nations agency in charge of the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism, Tourism is a “social, cultural and economic phenomenon, which entails movement of people to countries or places outside their usual environment for personal or business/professional purposes”.
This movement of people is the center of Travel Agents’ work, who are important players in tourism. By connecting all the travel stakeholders either online or offline, they simplify the whole travel process. Travel agents connect people with leisure, recreational or business purposes, uncovering a lot of earth’s hidden treasures and connecting different cultures around the world. To celebrate all Travel Agents around the world, TTS has released a tribute video.
